My name is Michelle (Mickey) Lussier and I would like to introduce myself as an accomplished health care professional in the field of physical therapy.
My journey started out at the local YMCA working in the Nautilus and free weight room providing personal training and movement coaching back in the late 1980’s. I also became heavily involved in coaching youth softball and went on to complete B.S. degrees in Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut. Other certifications include Personal Trainer & Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
In my 28 years of clinical practice, I have had the opportunity to work with patients in a wide range of settings including hospital, rehab, skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient, orthopedic and sports medicine. I have also worked with learning disabled-autistic children Pre-K to eighth grade in a public school setting. The scope of my practice/experience is extensive and has included successful intevention with Traumatic Brain Injury, chronic pain patients and complex, neurological diseases such as Pompe Disease, Multiple sclerosis as well as Parkinson’s.
Over the past 8 years, I have devoted in excess of 400+ hours of continuing education in the exciting, expanding fields of neuroscience and neuroplasticity through Z-Health R Performance Solutions, Inc. My advanced training and education have provided me with an endless tool box which I use to create paths to success which reach beyond traditional physical therapy.
By taking advantage of our fascinating nervous system, I am able to provide results greater than what was previously thought possible in order to assist individuals move better, see better & live better.
My passion for learning is only exceeded by my intense desire to help others achieve great outcomes.
